This bracelet is ravishing. It features 8 links representing snakes adorned and interspersed with coloured gemstones: diamonds, sapphires, rubies, emeralds, garnets… Some of them presents few traces of wears, however the bracelet in good antique condition. It was made at the very beginning of the 20th century. The largest diamond is set on platinum, the links are in 18kt gold and the clasp is in 14kt. It is secured with a security chain. Snakes have been and still are a popular motif in jewellery throughout the ages. In the Victorian era, the snake represented eternity and wisdom.
