Antique Victorian Carnelian Intaglio Ring
£525.00
Heritagem presents :
This beautiful Antique Victorian ring features a deep brown carnelian intaglio, showing a laurel crowned profile man, probably a Roman emperor. The mount presents a nice gold handcraft. In the middle of the 19th Century, young people had to fulfill the Grand Tour in Europe, in order to achieve their education. Italy was the first destination where a lot of artists were inspired of the Ancient world into their realisations, and here we have the perfect example of jewels of this Revival style. It is very condition for a jewel of this time, circa 1880. The carnelian was engraved on its back.
This ring can be resized if needed (free of charge).
All our items come with either a gemmological report or a jewellery report with circa and all useful information.
