Edwardian diamonds and sapphires earrings
Heritagem presents :
Those earrings are fabulous ! It is quite rare to find a pair of earrings in such good condition from this period. The earrings feature in its center 2 old mine cut diamonds, respectively 0,70ct approximately each (color G/H, clarity : VS2/SI1). They are surrounded with calibrated sapphires and 4 pear cut diamonds. Rose cut diamonds enhance the overall, it is just mesmerizing. They were perfectly handcrafted in 18kt gold and platinum, with a millegrain setting, which is very refined. The diamonds are lively and sparkly.
The earrings were marked twice with the French eagle’s head for 18kt gold and they were tested as platinum. There is also the maker’s mark but it is unfortunately quite hard to read. They weigh 5,64 gr and measure 43,1 (1,6′) x 15 (0,5) mm. These are very delightful to wear !
