French Art Deco Sapphires Diamonds Ring
£2,390
Heritagem presents :
This stunning Art Déco ring presents an original design but very characteristic of the Twenties. This ring is surprising by its modernity and its first originality is those 4 beautiful French cut sapphires on the top. They weigh around 1,50 ct. French cut was invented during the 15th century and become extremely popular under the Art Déco period, specially in France where it was mostly used and that’s why we call it the French cut. Two rows of Single cut diamonds are adorned the shoulder of the ring, for a total weighing approximately 0,60 ct. The entire ring is made in platinum and it gives this amazing geometric design.
Inside the ring, we can read 2 numbers : 1094 on one side and 44239 on the other side. In the middle, there is an ant, as you can see on the picture. This mark is called in French the “bigorne”. When the dog’s head is marked outside, the bigorne is printed inside. It is very rare to have both.
This ring is in excellent condition for this period. One of the sapphires is chipped but the others are goods.
This ring can be resized if needed (free of charge).
All our items come with either a gemmological report or a jewellery report with circa and all useful information.
