Art Nouveau French Gallia Locket Pendant
£850
Heritagem presents:
This beautiful locket features the profile of Gallia, figurehead of Gaul. She wears a winged helmet. She has braids. She might be also the goddess Druantia, the hypothetic Gallic goddess of her evergreen boughs. She is also the queen of druids. We can see a roaster beneath her, the symbol of France. The back depicts a branch of mistletoe. This medal was made at the very beginning of the 20th century, during the Art Nouveau. We can see a signature on the right side however it is quite hard to read. The locket was controlled twice on the inner rim by the French eagle’s head. It presents few traces of wears however it is in very good condition.
All our items comes with either a gemmological report or a jewellery report with circa and all useful information.
