RARE Victorian Gimmel Fede Ring
£742.50
Heritagem:
This fede ring shows two hands clasped together holding a heart. These symbols signified love and fidelity. It is likely that this ring was a love token, representing everlasting love, or perhaps a betrothal ring. Fede rings were made all over Europe in the Middle Ages. It is also called a gimmel ring where the three bands come together to form one. Fede comes from Italian and means “trust”; gimmel comes from Latin meaning twins.
All our items come with either a gemmological report or a jewellery report with circa and all useful information.
