French Love Medal by AUGIS

Heritagem presents:
This lovely French medal pendant was made by Augis. It weighs 1,9 gr and measures 22,01(0,86′)x 14,76(0,58) mm (the bale is included in the high). The plus is set with a diamond and the minus with 2 rectangular synthetic rubies. The medal is signed A.AUGIS on the right.
It is wrote in French: ” + qu’hier – que demain “: “I love you more than I did yesterday and less than I will tomorrow.”
The French saying comes from the verse of the poem wrote by Mrs Rosemonde Gerard to her lover and husband: Edmond Rostand, the famous French writer of Cyrano de Bergerac, a dramatic love play. Alphonse Augis, a French jeweler’s from Lyon, made a love medallion with this verse written on it. There is the maker’s mark is legible on the the hinge: A / a rooster / A. There is also the French eagle’s head with the counter mark. The back is plain and could be engraved with the name of the person you love 🙂
The first medals were made from 1907, this one is around 1960. It is in very good condition.

This lovely vintage necklace features 41 beads of natural Baltic amber. They have a beautiful deep orange color. The beads are between 12.05 mm (0,47') to 19,03 mm (0,74) for the largest one. It has been tested as natural Baltic amber, slightly heated. It is in good condition. The necklace weighs 71,8gr and it is 62cm long (24'). It presents few traces of wears on few on them. You can open the necklace thanks to the srew closing. In the Greek mythology, amber come from the tears of the Heliades, the sisters of Phaeton, crying for their brother's death, whom where metamorphosed into trees. It brings joy and happiness and eases the pain.

They have a beautiful reddish orange color. The largest bead is 17,78 mm long and the smallest one is 8,95 mm. The ring is set with 25 brilliant cut diamonds for a total carat weight of 2ct approximately.

The LOVE Chopard ring. This ring has the word LOVE engraved and set in place with diamonds. The letter O is an approximate 0,40ct heart shape diamond. There is an approximate total carat weight of 0,70ct. The ring band was made in 18kt white gold. The ring presents few traces of wears however it is in very vintage condition. Inside the ring band we can see the name of the famous Swiss jewelry house Chopard. We can also see the number 82/2009/09606458 and the UK hallmark. This is a marvelous ring with a unique classical elegance only from Chopard!

These beautiful earrings are made in 18kt yellow gold and they have a ravishing Retro design. The front is slightly domed and it presents a meshed pattern with twisted wired gold. Each earrings are adorned with 18 brilliant cut diamonds for an approximate total weight of 1,60ct (color H / clarity VS).
The design comes from the Sixties. They are very easy to weat for every day. They are elegant and chic.

The amethyst weighs approximately 60ct (measurements : 32.71mm x 26.16x 15.58mm). It is enhanced with brilliant cut diamonds on the top and on the bottom (0,40ct approximately). The stone is set on a mesmerizing mount. It is strong, modern and very innovative. The ring was signed by the jeweler : Ph. Comoy. It was perfectly handcrafted in 18kt gold. We can also see the French hallmark : the eagle's head and the maker's mark (MM).

This geometric Art Deco ring is made in platinum and has elegant details engraved. The ring features 2 brilliant cut diamonds weighing approximately 0,15ct each with a good color and a good clarity. This ring is in good vintage condition. The workmanship with the platinum is of the highest quality, the diamonds are set into a millegrain setting and the mount is finely engraved. The ring is airy and refined, it was well handcrafted. It was controlled with the French hallmark for platinum : the dog's head. We can hardly see the number 7535 inside the ring band. .

This brooch is from the Victorian era. It was made in France during the end of the 19th century, circa 1880. It is made in 18kt gold and silver, adorned with pearls. It has a very nice design with scrollwork, gold beads and volutes. The pearl on the bottom is dangling. The pendant could be also worn as a pendant thanks to the hood on the back. It has been controlled twice with the French hallmarks: the eagle’s head. There is also the maker’s mark on the pin. The brooch has some traces of patina and it is in very good antique condition.
