Victorian Turquoise Diamonds Ring
£2,137.50
Heritagem presents :
This turquoise diamonds ring is very refined and very sparkly. It was made at the end of the 19th century, circa 1880. It features a stunning blue color turquoise set on 18kt yellow gold and surrounded with 20 old mine cut diamonds for an approximate total carat weight of 2ct. The overall is in very good condition for jewels from this time. The shoulders of the ring are also hand crafted into a fleur de lys shape. The inside band was hallmarked with the number 18 for the 18kt gold. It was also marked with the Owl, the French mark for 18 kt gold.
We also call this kind of ring a Marquise ring : its name comes from the smile of the Marquise de Pompadour, the mistress of the French king Louis XV who offered her a ring of the same shape of her delicate smile.
It has this beautiful blue green color and has a very nice lustre. It has few traces of wears, otherwise it is in good condition.
Turquoises symbolizes hope, courage and self confidence. It also helps to keep friendship alive 😉
This ring can be resized if needed (free of charge).
All our items come with either a gemmological report or a jewellery report with circa and all useful information.
